The Leadership Austin Board of Directors is pleased to honor Gerry Tucker, Vice-Chancellor, Human Resources at Austin Community College and Rubén Cantú, Executive Director and Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at Austin, as our Outstanding Alumni at this year’s Community Engagement Reception held on April 12, 2022.
Joining them in the celebration will be Renee Lafair, Regional Director of the Anti-Defamation League and Selena Xie, Austin-Travis County EMS Captain and Surgical ICU Nurse, Dell Seton Medical Center as our Ascendant Alumni honorees.
Jeff Thomas, recently retired Senior Vice President of H-E-B will be recognized as our Honorary Alumni as well as a special award given to the nine public school districts serving the City of Austin for their incredible work over the past two years. Special thanks to the students, teachers, administration, boards and parents at Austin, Del Valle, Round Rock, Manor, Eanes, Leander, Plugerville, Hays and Lake Travis independent school districts.
